fms c-springs. reasonably price and comfortable ride. they're not the best for handling wise though.

for a drop, cheap, and comfort go with fms c-springs.
for a drop and handling go with h&r springs, more $$$.

H&R- Great Quality
Tein- Also good quality

Dropzone- decent price, drop sags about 1/4" after about 2 years

There are other, but I will keep my comments on them, since we carry them too.

I think these are very similar to the Ford "C" springs. Steeda has good springs as well. I'd still rather have H&R. Have riden in vehicles with both and "c" offers a bit more comfortable ride while the H&R springs offer superior handling. [patriot]

I have FMS 'B' springs and bilstein HD shocks/struts, the ride quality and handling at the track is more than decent for the $200 I spent on the combo.

I was going to ask the same. The pro kit springs are black, and the sport lines are red right? Either way, I have the black springs - I was wondering if anybody could take a measurement from the center of the hub to the top of the fender lip. I'm wondering if my springs are cut.

Btw, I don't know about cutting springs. Aren't some coils progressively rated? You destroy all that when you cut them right?

difference is pro kit, lowers ur car, makes it handle a lil better, and they are progressive so ur ride wont be all bouncy and shit

sportlines hella lower ur car and improve hadling, but the are stiffer, unlike the prokit, plus it is recommended that u get c/c plates with sportlines.....

pro kit will lower ~1.5". decent drop for most people and handling and comfort is improved.

sportline will lower ~2.0". slammed look, slightly stiffer ride, and good handling.

pro kit =black springs
sportline =red springs.....

my 95GT it on Sportliners with Tokico Shocks and presonally i think its a lil stiff, and to add to it, im rolling on Y2k 18"ers which at times i have rubbing issues. I want softer, but car came that way and im too broke to "down grade" to the pro kit. BUT i must say the stance with the Sportlines is AWESOME [patriot] -

The Eibach difference.

Prokit Spring Rates: Front: 425-530lb. , Rear 200-300
Lowers car approx. 1.5", but is known for the front to sag, and sit about 2-2.5"

Sportlines Spring Rates: Front: 425-630lb. Rear: 140-295lb.
Lowers car approx. 2.0".

Combo for lowest sitting on Eibach is run the Prokit front spring with a Sportline Rear. Or run the opposite for best handling, for cornering.

That's hard to answer...What is your opinion of "best ride"?....Smooth like a Cadillac?...If you want it smooth like a Caddy it'll corner like one too, which isn't good...To me nothing can ride as good as a strut/spring combo, meaning shocks or struts that are valved to the spring rate of the actual spring...Ever ride in a stock 94+ Saleen?...I think they ride quite well, they have a tuned suspension which corner and ride great

For a single upgrade, I found that the Eibach Pro-kit offers the best "all-around" kit...They're not too stiff and offer progressive rates for nice ride...

I ran H&R's on my 94 and loved how it handled, but the front of my car was SLAMMED and the ass was in the air just standing still...I traded them out for a pro-kit and the stance was perfect, the only problem were the Eibach's are quite soft...The ride was ok for me, but I had way more body roll compared to the H&R's...

But, if you've ever been in a car with the correct spring/strut combo (ie Saleen)you'll see that the car will corner way better and ride way better than a mismatched combo(ie stock stuts with Eibach's)....

+2 [patriot] I have H&R springs on my '94 GT and they are awesome. They handle very well (especially with Bilstein shocks) and the ride is still comfortable. I would definately spend a little more $$ and go with H&R springs.

So with certain spring + shock combo, you can lower your car without cc plates?

I want to lower my car now, but I am sure in the distant future I will get tired of 4 lugs and go 5. So I am hesitant to lower right now. If I do a 2in drop will that create issues when I go 5 lug and maybe 18x9 -10's?
