Besides the above, what do u need exactly? CDL# right? I'm not sure exactly how many tickets I have in the past years. Just lookin for the cheapest possible for me to be legal on the road. [ March 06, 2007, 07:18 PM: Message edited by: STREETFIGHTER50 ]

for regular car insurance check this site: www.wawanesa.com i spent a good deal comparing insurance through different companies and none came close to the above company.
if you want collector car insrance go with haggerty or grundy. i have insurance 250/500 full coverage on my 94cobra and 92gt with 0 deductible, no mileage limits for $340 a year through grundy.

Yeah but that basically means you can't drive the car doesn't it?

Generally, Wawanesa will only accept drivers that qualify for a good driver discount. That's who I have now.
As far as hookups for insurance. There is NO SUCH THING as an insurance hookup. Every company is different in their target market, and if you are close to what they want, their rate is low. Also, if the company is consistently giving insurance for CHEAP, you might want to check on their AM Best rating and financial stability. Chances are, they are like a D or C company, and probably won't pay your claim. Which will screw you. The best thing to do to get a good quote, is to shop around, and do research on the company you are quoting from.
Also, if you want to try a fast quote, try www.Esurance.com

the restriction is that the car can only be driven on pleasure rides and not driven to work or to do errands. also the car needs to be garaged and u need proof of a daily driver. this type of insurance does not suit everyone and obviously those who drive their stangs daily would not apply. for ppl like myself who only drive their cars once in awhile and usually have the car sit collector car insurance is perfect. i was getting shafted before wheni had my 03cobra paying $2k a year for full coverage on a pleasure vehicle through AAA with a good driving record. i could not believe how much companies were charging but then again, with a house in my name i needed high covereage. so lets say u were to take a pleasure drive to la to show your car off at knotts, your stang would have coverage with collector car insurance. there are some different requirements with grundy and haggerty so id suggest looking into it if you're interested in collector car insrance.

Thanks for the info. I may look into that when I get a daily driver. No sense in paying more when I won't be driving the car much anyway. Too bad I can't save now though

Very true. And stay away from brokers! Progressive was always the cheapest for me.
