I couldn't be happier. It's the silver Si with Navi. It was ridiculously hard to get it in that color with the navi, but I finally got it. Im getting the tint sometime this weekend. My silver GT vert had the platinum mirror tint, Im not sure if I should get that again. Whats a good percentage to get on the car if Im going with black tint, how about the front windshield? PS: Im not getting rid of my mustang

I usually get 30% on my sides and windsheild. It is still light enough where it doesn't look blacked out from outside during the day, but yet pretty dark at night.

5% all the windows except the front windshield. Don't tint that. It's just STUPID !

mirror tint is ridiculously tacky IMO, and i'm sure most will agree.
i too would go with 5% all around 'cept windshield, or at least 5% in the rear and 20% on the doors with a 5% strip across the windshield.

Note to self: No front windshield. %20 all around sounds about right. I just got a quote for $280, for a civic honda that seems pretty steep. Whats a good affodable place to get this done at, preferably in the peninsula?

I wouldn't tint the windshield or the drivers and passenger side front windows. You will be constantly harrassed by cops and will eventually get a fix it ticket. This is based on my personal experience

good choice. 20% is the way to go...not too dark, not too light...jus right. i got my stang done for $260 out here in tracy. lifetime warranty on the tint as well. so $280 isnt too bad these days.

i miss my side tinted windows in my stang. but i don't miss the cops writing me fix it tickets. i think i have had 3 of them before. pain in the @$$, plus it gives the cops a reason to pull you over to look for more stuff wrong

I have 20% all around and 50% for the windshield on my '94 GT. I think it looks great and I haven't had any trouble with the police for the past 3 years I've had the tint. But when I had 5% put on my daily driver, I got pulled over within 5% of leaving the tint shop and got pulled over again on my way back to the shop lol. Luckily, I got a warning both times. Being a window tinter myself, I would NOT reccommend putting 5% on the two front windows because it is way too dark and not safe, especially when driving at night. I think 20% is perfect because it's not too light or too dark. But that's just my opinion. By the way, if anyone wants a hook up on window tinting just PM me.

Do you have any pics of the 50% on the windsheild? I know I'm going to do 5% on the back 3, 15% on the doors, and I'm debating doing 50% on the windsheild or not. My stepdad has 50% on the front 2 doors on his car and it's barely noticeable, but enough to look a tiny darker at night (like in the dark, parked... hah)
