Here is another one of our latest works.
She asked for purple flames on her blue GT and I was a little unsure how it would turn out. We added a hood scoop and some 20" dubs and I had chuckle because it looked pretty cool.
I know that flames are not traditional on Mustangs, but what do you all think?
Good /Bad I can take it.

I would say bad. The quality of the work looks good but that color and style of flames look kinda out of place.
If you did purple (ever so subtle) ghost flames on a black GT would look pretty cool

I'll be honest....It looks like you got the flame kit from Kragen....You might be able to pull it off if you had some descent wheels....
1)fake hood scoop 2)ugly wheels 3)cheap flame decals
=equals two thumbs down IMO.....But on a positive note, I do like Mustangs....
To each his own, if the girl likes it that's all that matters....Maybe just leave the flames on just the hood....

If they were continus and wrapped from the nose down around the sides it would have looked better. Also, I would have left out those flames that are within the flames.
I like flames but no quite like that. Hell I have flames on my car but we tried to keep it simple. Take a look.
This shows a good shadow side view.

This is a good front/top in the sun pic. See it pop out more, but the sides in the shade are not visible.

I think the thing that killed it for me is the white pinstripe around the flames. It would look better if they didn't stick out so much. I also don't care for the "perfect" mirror image look - where the right and left sides match exactly. The quality looks good and if the customer likes it, that's all that matters. People can make fun of her later ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

The flames are NOT decals they are base coat clearcoat.

I would ask for a refund, but to each their own, I guess. There is always that car that parks next to you where you get the compliments and the other gets a laugh. The purple flamer would most likely get the laughter. lol

Looks a HOTWHEEL DUB CAR. Those flames are horrible, they look like "cookie cutter" flames, if I may be so bold. No originality and low on the subtle meter. Those wheels are horrible and belong on a luxury sedan. But hey its not my car, thank goodness ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif) [ September 27, 2006, 12:33 AM: Message edited by: CLEEN 50 ]

I dont think that anyone was saying the work was crappy, just the way the flames look. I also think the flame design looks like cheap decals.... kinda ricey IMO but the actual paint work looks good.
