stay with the tail pipes especially on a LX they look clean.
On a GT I would go with dumps.
Clean car though. looks good.

I just got the tailpipes from summit, the car is hella quiet now, sound stock or something
exhaust setup includes BBK Equal Length Headers, Magnaflow x-pipe with high flow cats, magnaflow mufflers, and now flowmaster tailpipes.
Even with the tail pipes off its hella quiet, here's what it sounds like with dumps..
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aifitsRu8VQ
When we put the tailpipes it got ALOT quieter, cant even hear the engine anymore, have to watch the tach more now.

I loved my dumps, but kept having problems with them....
when I go on long drives, they end up boiling my fuel.....
as soon as I put my full pipes back on this problem goes away....
I think this has a little more to do with a weak fuel pump or some other stupid thing...
I would reccommend dumps, unless you start having problems like me....

Dumps are for people who'd rather spend $250.00 on making their car go faster, not look prettier.

Dump's are for people who had to cut the pipes off for tire's to fit on thier car. I have magna flow's with highflow cat's and dump's "actually just cut pipes off after muffler" and it does a pretty good job of keeping thing's quiet so I don't draw unwanted attention, till I get on the loud pedal.

So you do the muffler shop pipes with the 3" chrome tip...
LX tailpipes are a bit more expensive. CLICK
If LX tailpipes were only $25, then the original comment of dumps being for people who can't afford tailpipes wouldn't apply. [ August 25, 2006, 08:36 PM: Message edited by: The Nick ]

If you can keep the pipes and work around the tires, I'm 100% in favor of pipes especially on a notch

No, I have dynomax 2.5" stainless tailpipes that I bought used off the board here, I dont have any ghetto melon shooter tips tacked onto stock tailpipes.

Fair enough, that's a bargain. But the original comment about dumps being for cheap folks is thus proven wrong.
