Topic: good places to buy used 600cc streetbike?

*thinking of getting a used gsxr-600 or r6 or cbr-600rr up to about 45-5000$ all must be 2001 or newer looking for a dealer anyone have suggestions and what about insurance whats the avg for bike ins. thanks

I would recommend buying one through a private seller. Dealerships jack the prices up way to high. I would rather buy one from somebody that knows the bikes history, and can tell me more about it than a salesman who usally knows nothing about it at all. just search craigslist. You'll find one there within your price range for sure. You can also try a place in Sunnyvale/Santa Clara... Its a warehouse of used bikes that they sell for private owners (forgot the name). Kind of expensive though.
Best bet would be to get one on craigslist or visit www.bayarearidersforum.com and search the classifieds.

Why not just get a loan from say a credit union?

I know you said dealer and 4,500 to 5,000 but my boy bought a 06 600rr just few months ago for his girl to ride on.
but she ended up not getting on it so now his selling 8,000.you can easily get finaced from a credit union or your bank.it has lees than 200 miles and its all black.
