I'm going to be saving a ton of gas on this baby, I purchased it today for 1,600 bucks. I'm definitely going to keep this thing till the wheels fall off. Anyways 40mpg that's better then my dad's suv that I'm using at the moment.
Check it out and tell me what you think, for the year and the price it's well worth it.

Highly unlikely you'll get 40mpg avg on a tank. Many people claim to get crazy high milage but they rarely state or correctly calculate the avg. milage on a few tanks. Yet its still a great setup and will save you a ton of gas and is a very economical decision

my neighbor has one of these and he gets no where near 40 mpg. They always over state this. but you will save tons on gas tho. Sounds like a very good buy. Grats.

man...must be hard going through mustang withdrawals going from a mach to a cadillac and now a tercel. is a bicycle next? haha. just kidding. tercels get great gas mileage but feel unstable at high speeds. my mom has one and it feels like the wind easily pushes the car from side to side on the highway.

probably not 40mpg, but a huge differnce from a V8. I sold my Dodge ram because I was easily spending $50-$70 a week just on gas, it was a car payment in itself.

Have fun merging on the freeway with it. I drove my friends and it has less passing power than a 4 cyl fox body.

Here's what happened during lunch on my junior year. A friend of mine had just got her license so she took us out in her tercel (auto)
Passenger: "Hurry up we're going to be late!" Friend: "I'm trying!" Me: "Give it more gas!" Friend: "I'm trying!" Me: "Floor the damn thing!" Friend: "I am!!" Me:"HAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!"

LOL I can't believe he put those on that car, I'm taking them off tomorrow and getting it an oil change. I bought it from this Mongolian guy who barely spoke any english.

That's still not bad for what these gas prices are, and I'm sure they will be hitting 5 dollars a gallon by the end of summer.
Anyways thanks Camaro Kid Z/28 I will keep that in mind.

Don't forget the major H/P those puppies make. J/K Great buy, I think it's possible to pull 40 mpg out of that beast if you shift at 2K RPM's
PS, I recommend trying this theory on along straight away........ Going down a hill. [ May 31, 2006, 06:34 AM: Message edited by: six 5.0 ]

LMFAO ahaha. Going up hill is going to be a bitch. I'll be definitely saving for a mustang but not anytime soon, I'm taking a trip to Hawaii by the end of summer by myself so that's priority and I need to save for that right now.

So yeah I went to Hayward DMV to register this thing and I must say, driving on the freeway is no fun at all. The car is small so it's kind of a scary ride, but you know what the needle hardly moved on the gas gauge.
Passing blows that's for sure.
