Well, I guess it makes up for the 67 Mustang that they stuck a skyline motor in, for 3F3F. And whats sad is they had the Mustang at Sema, and all the US companies shook there heads in why, when they looked at it, yet all the import companies loved it.

I'd put money that with the LS1 the car will weigh less than with the old skyline drivetrain.

Correct, the RB26 is aluminum headed but uses a cast iron block; the LS1 is all aluminum. Shows how people are quick to trash talk without being educated on the subject.

i could care less about its weight, i think its gay to ruin a car such as a skyline by doing that. Do it to an old Rx7 or miata, but dont touch the skyline. Like some one would put one in a Supra?!? I doubt it. -Joe
Edit: im equally as pissed to hear they actually put a skyline motor in the Stang from Tokyo Drift [ May 28, 2006, 05:49 PM: Message edited by: bottled02GT?? ]

I would, then it'd have 900+HP and run more than 11's. Besides, what's ever so damn cool about a skyline except being every stupid ricer kids dream car? That's all they can ever talk about, "yeah, well I'll get a skyline with stage 5 reduction and beat your camEro!" <<--true quote.

I happen to like my "basterdized" 10 second daily driver. Let's see.. handles and stops great, looks neat, can take it on long trips (stock motor).. what a total pos.
I can't wait to "basterdize" my stock notch with an LS1 too.

Damn movies get out late!
I think there is a silver LS1 FD in the area though.
Mine is the older 80's style with a carbon fiber hood. Maybe I'll see you in the area.
