To actually sell my 2003 Mustang Mach 1 now. What do you guys think are the most effective ways of selling a car? I've tried posting it once on craigslist and on this site as well. The reason why I'm selling is to get out of payments and plus I only work 2 miles away from home and I commute with my friend to work so basically I don't need the car.

However I do plan on buying an older Mustang something cheaper just to get me around in. Let me know your guys advice on this, last time I got a bunch of flakers from craigslist. How reliable and good do you guys think autotrader is? Do you think it's worth the 30 bucks to spend and will I get good results?

James

Craigslist is good for quick sales...but if you're price isn't "cheap," then you will get low-balled all day long.

If you want serious offers, I'd suggest AutoTrader. They usually have more serious buyers on there that are willing to buy a quality car at an average price.

Good luck [patriot]

Thank you I'll give craigslist.org a week or two and I know there are a bunch of lowballers on that site, I don't think asking 18.5k is to much for my car. There is another mach 1 going for 20,995 and a salvage title one going for 16,950 or something like that so I think my price is fair and I based it on kbb and nada.com as well.

How many miles are on the car? What color is it? Do you have some pics? What have you done to it? [patriot]

I just wanted to get some advice on this section you know but I'll post some info on here as well and it's also in the for sale section.
The only mods that have been done are the window tint and it's wired for a sub system.

I haven't done any type of engine mods what so ever, I haven't even touched the exhaust. Oh yeah it has 47k miles.
Here's the ad on craigslist.org

Has a lot of people used autotrader on here and have they been successful? It sounds like it with the positive replies.
