And ordered the plans to my new baby!! This is no toy plane, the real deal!! It will take me aprox 2 years to construct from a kit, and cost as much as a 03-04 Cobra. I am very excited at the moment!!

My rough estimate there for the cost is a very low end build. used engine(rebuilt, of course), day vfr, home built seats and interior, builder paintjob. Mine is going to cost around $57k. Glad I don't have to spend that all up front. The best part is, If I don't want to keep it, the value sometimes tripples after it flies!

I have to make a website for the FAA so they know that I was the one that built said aircraft. You can look at a very detailed builders page at www.rvproject.com I will keep a webpage on my sig, so everyone can see the progress!

Hey Stevo. Awesome project going there! Goodluck on the build-up and have patience. If you need any help or info drop me a line. I have a bit of a background and knowledge in General Aviation. Hold a FAA Powerplant Rating. Everytime anyone see's that banner plane flying over anywhere in the Bay Area, I put it up there!

You are about 42 years behind, and that's just for the races held in Reno... Take a trip in September - you won't be disappointed.

I am still in the process of getting mine. The route I am taking is probably the best to take. Split up the costs for lessons and the plane at the same time. Plus it will be very rewarding for both after they are completed!! Take your time!
