You just had one choice too listen for the rest of your life? What would it be.....?
Theres so many different styles of music to choose from! I grew up listening to the Stones/beatles etc (my parents would always play this stuff at home. When it came to my fav,I listened to all kinds of music! I grew up during the 80's where rock was loud and had allot of hair( ie: metallica Ozzy Ratt etc) rap was still growing in popularity (ie Run Dmc, ll cool j, public enemy,Schooly D etc) I loved that stuff, now Rap is so much different, I never was into the Chingy-Blingy stuff!? I love Disco, I still remember my parents going out to dance with the big belts and flashy dresses. lol! You know whats really funny allot of the 80's music like Depeche Mode and The Cure, I never liked when it was new,but now I love it. Country, when i was younger, I had a g/f that loved it, 'Yuck' I said, now I can listen to it...I guess I am getting older! Garth,Reba,Sara Evens etc I like! hmmmmm?! R&B who does'nt like that stuff, oldies are ok in monitored ammounts, but sometimes the song 'Sideshow' just fits the bill! Jazz...never could get into that, classical...nope! Speed metal...nah! Grunge...no thanks. What this Emo stuff I keep hearing about anyways?! Punk....eh....Ska...big neagtive sir! Pop....its ok...for kids! lol! Club music....Yep! I went to the clubs back in the day Studio 47, Mothers, Paradise Beach,The Bee Hive( never again) San Jose Live,I can go,but i went along time when I got to the age of 21 and up, that the music the played sucked! It was the same stuff they played on the radio most of the time! I could nt find anything that really moved me! No one played disco anymore, and all the 80's room were filled with my friends parents, theres nothing like one of your homeboys mom's hitting on you at the club! (studio 47 was known for that!)
i used to drive my brother and his friends(which were all about 3 years younger than myself)to the clubs, cause i do not drink when i go out.
So one night I went into the Club called 'The Oasis" well one room had the normal stuff....and there was another room the was behind a thick curtain...i went through it and BAM! My world had changed.....I heard something I never heard before......HOUSE MUSIC! :worship:The Back beat, The Edge(that place holds a dear place in my Heart) DV8's, The Sound Factory (Ghetto) Emma's, The Catcus Club,Club Monoco, 1015 Folsom, The End Up,City Nights etc(These places were known for this stuff) I could nt dance to save my life, but I could nt help myself this music was irrestible! Since then I have went to so many clubs/raves etc because I love the unrentless beat, the lights and the ladies of course! If I had to pick one type of music it would be house-type/trance! Its the only type of music I can listen to that with the right beat..i get goosebumps and makes me smile!
Where am I going with this? Nowhere....it's just something my friend were discussing earlier tonight! You're probably asking yourself, "How many 35 year old males listen to house, trance, ambient, progressive,Drum n Bass, chill out, rave, breakbeat, electronic etc.....?" Not many! haha! Yes I am bored! Good night all!

I don't think it's humanly possible to pick a genre or a group to listen to for the rest of your life. At least not me..
I don't listen to everything, but I definitely have a wide variety of things I enjoy and I usually save certain things for certain moods. Every song has its place.

I can't stand listening to just one specific genre of music now.
I listen to quite a bit. For example, I'll be listening to The Black Dahlia Murder (black metal), then want to listen to Mac Mall or Doobie.

yea I dont think I can choose just ONE type of music to listen to forever. Although I usually listen to rap/hip hop, sometimes it just annoys me and I throw it in 96.5 or 101.3....some old school hits never hurt Also, when my girlfriend is in the car, she'll listen to some of her shit...as gay as it may be, some of it is actually nice to listen to. Changing the genre on occassion is a healthy thing

I like rap, alternative, rock, heavy metal, some blue grass. Lately i've been listening more to Alternative aand rock. Rap has become crap lately. That Grill song is retarded. Nelly sucks.
