I don't know for sure, but I think online diplomas don't get viewed the same as if you were to go to school. I would just go to school if you can. But if there is no other option, I guess that's better than nothing. Good Luck.

Online degrees are usually fine, depending on what you are in school for. (As long as it's a good school and program)

I asked my friend what he was doing the online classes for a degree for and it was for criminal justice or something like that he also is trying to be a cop,and its from the San juaquine Valley college has anyone been there before and the guy told my buudy that they are one of the best schools in California for this degree, does anyone know if this is true? Are online degrees respected that much?

Some places are ok and it's better than nothing. It will not get viewed as highly as a degree at an accredited college.

I looked into finishing up my degree online. A few guys at work are doing it but at the expense of $1500 every three credits. It added up quickly so it's a matter of time (going to class) vs. cost of convience.

My work doesn't matter too much. You can still promote with a reputable online degree.

So are you saying that it will look good when my buddy tries to get in the acadamy,he was told that you have a better advantage then just going straight into the acadamy.what online schools are good for criminal justice and stuff.

I heard SF STATE has a good criminology program (even when my dad went to it). I would check it out there!

If you know what departments you think you might be applying to once you are done you can always try asking them what they prefer for education. The program should say if it is accredited or not.
