It should beat just a stock wrx. Depends on drivers.

SF89LX obviously hasn't taken a ride in an STi. I love how those cars ride on rails from the factory. Adjustable HID headlamps, adjustable drivetrain for different terrain, oh and the fact they can cruise at 150 mph in 6th at 2300rpm's.

Depends what you mean by new,the 06 wrx's are a high 13 second car,up 30awhp from the previous year.They underated the new wrx so not to take sales from the sti.

today i was driving my friends wrx. he's out of town for 3 more months ![[Razz]](tongue.gif) . since i'm such a good friend, i've got to make sure that his car is started and driven/reasonably abused every so often ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
anyhow.. that little car drives like a dream.. seems to sit on rails.. you can take turns 100x better than my stang a bit better than my former cobra.
How many pounds of boost is it supposed to have from factory. he's got an aftermarket boost gauge and it showed 16psi.

if the wrx launches at over 4k rpms your done with flat out..i know from being beat by one in a 13.0 ls-1 i never seen anything launch so fast

You can make 680+awhp out of one with a stock crank. I drove the 5th fastest one in the country, and it had so much torque that it shot itself into the other lane when I punched it. The STI is one of the few jap cars that I have respect for.
