drunk driver hit my car today, i was parked infront of my friends house up against the curb.He hit my car from behind fucked it up pretty good.The thing is dude had no insurance and was pretty drunk,the cops get there take down information..After that the cop comes up to talk to me to ask if i have full coverage...i toled him no just liability,he says most likely ima have to end up paying out my own pocket..is that true? or is there some type of way to sue this guy to get my car fixed? maybe get it fixed save the recipets for parts and other stuff and have him pay me back? oh yeah dude blew a 2.45 on the breathalizer...

from whative been told is, you have to pay everything up front and keep reciepts. hopefully hes cool enough and you got his info. he'll pay you back otherwise you have to take him to small claims court and spend even more money and hopefully he doesnt flake out.

if u have uninsured motorist and get his info your liability will cover it
