Is what I got this time in the notch.
..... and I think I could have squeezed out some more miles since I just pumped 13.5 gallons.

You sure you don't have a 2bbl on it? Close to 29mpg is really hard to believe.

Did you just put gears in it? You need to fix that speedo gear as well

nope 3.08's stock gears speedo is off by approx 2-3 mph

I got 280miles on 11 gallons in my notch driving from salina's to camarillo
and I have 3.73's...spinning 2500rpm on the freeway doing 75

God damn my truck I take to work only get 18 mpg.
Stupid V6 204k Toyotas.
I would buy another notch in a second but leaving it outside for 8 hours/day makes me queasy at the thought.

I get ~170 to a tank if I haul ass everywhere. and my tank is only ~5 gallons hooray for bikes!

I belive it. Last year I drove my 96 Mystic, (now eljefes 96 Mystic), down to Fresno and got 31 MPH on that trip! Cruise set at around 68 MPH

Did you roll in nuetral for 140 miles? cuz the best i could street/freeway driving is 250.Was it on a long freeway dirve?

Back when mine was "mildly" modified I was getting 23-24 freeway miles. That was with 3.55 gears and 24lb injectors.

I never got more than 18mpg and averaged around 12mpg in my old '89
now when i got the jeep i thought i'd be getting better but it's about the same with the big meats i have on it now. i average around 13mpg
i'm hoping when i re-gear i'll get some of the mpg back.

about 320 miles were freeway driving the other was city. cruising between 70-75.
