I guess they could careless, that they play the Bucs in two weeks, and he is basically gonna tell Jon Gruden and Monte Kiffen the 9ers offensive and defensive schemes.. not like it makes a difference Bucs > 9ers

Rattay is gonna love it over there, going to a 5-1 team and will most likely start due to injuries... tapma has a good oline as well i think he will do good

Best move the niners have made i think. Rattay is good but not without an O-Line... Smith will not do good either but this gives him a chance to learn the offense and get over the hump of a rookie NFL QB. Rattay needed to go to a team where he can start. He is a good QB just needs a team around him.

This pretty much eliminates the potential for a QB controversy. If Smith continues to suck and Rattay is on the sideline, they'll always be tempted to switch the starting QB... again.
Now that Rattay is gone, they can stick to their word and keep Smith in as their QB now and in the future.
Not a bad deal for either player, but I think they should have at least got a backup LB or someone from the Bucs practice squad. The 9ers at thin at LB with both Ulbrich and Rasheed out now.

Rattay isnt gonna start for Tampa, he is being brought in as the 3rd/emergency QB. Simms is gonna be the starter from here on out.. only way I see Rattay getting in, is if both Simms and McCown get hurt..There's a condtion in Rattay's contract about if he doesn't start 50% of downs then he is a FA at the end of the year, perfect for him, ride the pine in Tampa/ very slim chance he might get in, and become a free agent at the end of the year, or ride the pine in SF and then come back next year and ride the pine again before finally becoming a free agent the at the end of next season

Rattay will probably be riding the pine for the rest of his life. He sucks a BIG one!

Gruden doesn't like simms and he pusched for the Rattay deal...Rattay will start in 2 weeks..just watch
