Valvefloat will kill motors FAST if you have tight Piston to Valve clearance. Seen it too many times. I'd highly recomend taking care of the issue before racing this car. According to Tony McCurty at Comp (really knows his valvetrains), if you've floated the valves more than 1 or 2 times, the heads should have a valvejob & you should replace the valvelocks. They get beat up FAST. I'm actually in the process of upgrading the wife's valvesprings again. The 917's have seen better days & she needs a little more pressure (in the right area) with her new 4130 Chromoly .120" wall pushrods. (heavy) BTW, Yellow94GT's cam card states 248/248 108LSA....but that is NOT what it degreed in at. ;) LOL [/qb][/QUOTE]Yeah, I will call to find out what kind of valvsprings were put on the car. I know they are not the AFR upgraded valvesprings. The Rockers I have are the Ford racing 1.6 rockers. maybe I should change those too LOL. I was told electric fans are not very ideal for a street car and alot of cars can overheat with them. That is the only reason I did not install one. I am not running stock pushrods or lifters either. I am pretty sure I have some comp cams stuff. I was their when they ordered it. [/QB][/QUOTE]
