LS1 motor are cheap but I'd strongly recommend taking a look at LQ4 or LQ9 motors out of 02 and up GM trucks. From the factory they come with roughly 9.6:1 cr in addition to 72cc heads that are boost friendly. I can't remember the member's name but there's someone on here that's doing a high compression 408 build with nitrous if I'm not mistaking.
