I'm looking for an air/fuel guage. I've researched several types out there and get mixed reviews. What brand/models of A/F gauges are you all using and how accurate are they?

i'm running a innovate motorsport with lc-1 on my carbed mustang. It reads scary fast, so it seems to jump around a bit. When my brother had his on his fuel injection motor it read alot slower. Had it on the car for about 4 years now with no problem.

over all i think its a great product. [ September 27, 2012, 11:00 AM: Message edited by: 68dustin ]

I used innovate in my viper as it was pretty glitchy. It would reset after a few hard pulls.

Cool thanks for the replies. In leaning towards Autometer. American Muscle has a 2 1/16 guage for around 70.

Sounds like you are looking at narrowbands for that price, they are useless... You need a wideband bro, but autometers run $300 for their widebands...

Innovate lc-1 here as well. Havent had any of the Problems previously discussed to my post but then again i dont drive the car except for to the track and back- about 300 miles. Seems to work well from what i can tell. Plus its plug and play with my megasquirt... Inexpensive and reliable definitely a plus.

I used to have a Innovate LM2 it felt cheap and sometimes it would just quit working. Innovate as a company has terrible customer service; another reason to stay away from innovate products.
I now have an NGK A/F meter and it works perfect every time.

Innovate seems to be one of the more affordable and simple gauges. I run an Innovate LC-1 going on 3 years now without a single issue. Usually do a heater reset on it every 3 months (rarely drive the car these days). If they are properly installed they will work like a charm.

+1 narrowbands are pretty much only good for telling you what your 02 sensors are reading and to make sure youre running rich at WOT. other than that theyre useless. get a wideband
