Originally posted by EPIKMACH: [qb] I would agree its definately one of the best albums Ive heard in a while, & me being a music producer myself, I usually listen to the beats 1st. the beats on this album are next level & I would give them an 8 out of 10...Lyrically its off the hook too. I know most of u arent gonna feel me, but I would much rather listen to what rappers like Kanye, Nas, Mos Def ,& Common are bringin to the table rather than most of the negative, meaningless, bs u hear on the radio nowadays... [/qb]
I agree 100% Kanye's new album is back to his old route. Bringing back to a plain simple REAL hip-hop emcee. I recently seen a interview where he talks about how he was always about hip-hop from the beginning and then got caught in the fame, money, bling, mainstream rap from his last album...He said he's trying to find the real side of hip-hop again with this album. I give props to common, NAS, mosdef, now kanye for trying to keep the real hip-hop alive with real issues and staying clear of mainstream BS. I wouldn't consider 50cent, eminem, rick ross, T.I., FAB, E-40, Pack, etc. even in the same category as hip-hop. Mainstream is good hooks, catchy coarse, a catchy beat, cussing, and flashy lyrics while hip-hop is a complete opposite. my 2cents [/QB]
