try bending the latch that is on the rad support toward or away the rad to see if it will lock in to the hood

A lot of hoods leave a gap inbetween the fenders try to adjust the best you can it probably wont be perfect though. As for the latch what worked on the mustang that the hood was on before might not work for yours that same thing happened to my dad. If anything just use the hood pins and make sure that they are secure.

ya i was thinking that.but would be nice to have em both work.i got it to latch once, but couldnt again.im gonna have to get a new hood pin set the chrome top circle parts.cuz im getting the hood painted and cant just unscrew teh screw on the 1's on ther enow, screws are stripped out ..cant find 1's that will fit a mustang that arent over 40 bucks.

You have to adjust the hood to fit to get rid of the gap and to make the hood latch. Take the plastic cover off the front of the hood and adjust the latch up or sideways or down to get it to latch. Loosen it and see where it latches and where it doesn't. Theres two bolts for the hood hinges. If you loosen then you can adjust the hood hap along the fender. it takes a while to get right but you have to do it to make it look good. I got mine to fit like stock [ January 02, 2006, 04:28 AM: Message edited by: Cobra5.0Jeep ]

sometimes the hoods are just made real cheap so they arent even and wont line up equally on both sides. try to put washers in between the hood and the 4 bolts to give it a little angle so that it will latch better.

i got 1 washer on each bolt.woulldnt that just make it higher?or lower depending on how many washers are on each bolt.the gap i have is side to side between the fenders.maybe when i get a chance ill just mess with it and see what i can do..

Its hard to tell you how to mount a hood over the net. You just have to mess with it and take your time (its not hard). Looking at the front of the car his latch on the right side was higher than the left. so leave the left bolt where its at and go all the way up with the right see what that does. As for the fender gap you can push those in by losening the 3 top bolts on the fenders. Was your car ever wrecked?
