Not double parking, but say at walmart or something, is it illegal to take 2 spaces up? I know it's rude and everything, but I'm curious. I've seen many people do it but idk what happened, I never cared to stick around for the owner or a tow truck lol.

I always think about doing that, but then if some assshole comes and keys it for taking 2 spots, then I'd be twice as pissed compared to just a door ding. I always just park as far as possible. I need the exercise anyway.

I also park as far away as possible. Most people have gotten so damn lazy that walking more than 50 feet to the entrance of the store is too far of a distance.
I would NEVER take 2 spots, since it makes you look like a total douche, and a lot of people will see that and mess with your vehicle. Just not worth it.

People park in two spots everyday at my work. I never see them ticketed, nor bothered. I would assume, well at least the way I see it, is if it's a nice ass car, people wont mess with it. But if your parking your bucket 87 Toyota pickup in two spots, you a douche. Especially if it's a known busy day, like black Friday, or week before Christmas.
I do it though at the Starbucks I used to work at. That parking lots huge. Plus it makes me look hella cool and whatnot.

if someone takes up two spots, on purpose, especially if they have a nice car...i will park so that my passenger door is right up against their driver door...that is if i see no indications of the parker being elder with a placard, etc...and i will copy down their plate...
that shit is unacceptable, and just because you have a shiny and expensive car, you are not entitled to 2 spaces, ever...

The only time i take up 2 spots is early in the morning when i am running in to get my lunch, i don't pull up all the way so my bed and rear tire are in the parking spot behind me still. Usually its a good distance from Safeway and there's a lot of parking spots around. I do it cause all the tree trimming and tow truck drivers are all there too and i don't want them taking the front of my truck off when they leave.
