Got my first 4.6 powered Stang! Its a silver 2002 Roush Stage 2,hardtop,5 speed.48,000 miles, picked it up at a local lot, thank god for credit, lol.I dont know shit about 4.6's but gears will be first. Then probably an x-pipe and long tubes. What are the best bang for buck mods on these things anyway? Will post pics as soon as i figure out how to. [ July 29, 2007, 03:39 PM: Message edited by: 50DADDY ]

I think gears are the best bang for a buck on almost any car.

How much you pick it up for? A buddy of mine is trying to sell a Black '02 stage 2 with 26k miles in EXCELLENT condition.
Nice car though, and welcome to the 4.6 family!

Best bang for the buck? I would say start with gears. A blower is the best bang for the buck as far as HP mods go.
Long tubes and the mid-pipe are going to set you back about $600-800 w/o installation. Install is supposted to be a PITA!
Here's what I would do in this order:
- gears - shifter - catback - plenum and 75 mm tb - blower - custom tune
Also, upgrade the brakes to Cobra spec. This makes a *huge* difference.

I'd do 4.10 gears, full length subframe connectors, plenum and throttle body, shifter, and an o/r x pipe with the stock mufflers/exhaust manifolds.
