Here is a link to a dyno session with a new 2010 GT500. The car is bone stock, & it put down 511 rwhp... Remember that this car is only rated at 540 hp at the crank from the factory. With 511 rwhp, that has to be closer to 600 at the crank...
For all the Ford lovers, Ford haters, & LSX nut riders, here is proof that the new 2010 GT500 is better than people think.... Im still not a fan of the rear end, but it does look alot better than the GT, & the Camaro IMO....
Here's the link.....

Wow! Every year hi-po cars are getting more and more power. I'll never be able to keep up
Can't wait to see one at the track. The front end of that beast is clean but I've never liked 05+ stangs at all. So fuking bulky wtf is ford thinking.
Good find

Hmm guess there's no point in me tryna build a n/A car if I wanna keep up with the new rides. That's pretty bad ass from the factory with a warranty

Well, just remember the car is still a heavy pig, so a fox with 400-ish hp would give it a good run...

t, your car will NEVER be fast... i kid... the 400hp fox may be faster, but i would take the new gt500 over a fox i think... im just really diggin' the looks/power and foxes are old tech IMO...

Old tech is a tried & true method & that works 4 me... I like the new GT500, but I will not have the money to own 1 any time soon, but a fast fox is easily attainable, is plenty fun, & still turns heads & gets thumbs up!!!
I only posted this up because Im tired of everyone acting like Ford dropped the ball because the new Camaro's & Challenger's are rated @ 400+ hp, while the GT is rated at 315hp...... This right here shows people exactly what a well built factory mod motor is capable of.... [ June 13, 2009, 03:22 AM: Message edited by: EPIK ]

I like these 07+ Shelbys. I'm always thinking what would be better to own.. GT 500 or the ZO6? It's a difficult decision, but I think I would take the Shelby. [ June 13, 2009, 03:23 AM: Message edited by: Rigo5.0 ]

Can't disagree with that. And the Vette gets em' wet I just lean towards the Shelby's a lil' more b/c you don't see as many. + a used Shelby is almost in my price range; maybe in another year

I will admit, the GT500 turns my head more than any vette.... You really don't see them very often, but I see C6 Z06's all day...

i'm not being a old tech hater. i'm just really excited to see where this modular stuff goes and what will happen with eco-boost.. once the GT gets the 5.0 next year the pony car battle will be on again... SVT has done alot with the new shelby and i'm looking forward to whats next...

Excellent.
However, the 79-93 fox bodies will always remain in my heart. That is what spurred my love for them.
I like the newer stangs, cobras, termis, machs, shelbys BUT I LOVE the 79-93 foxes.

just wait till the "coyote" motor comes out...
5.0L 4V in the GT.
looks like a wide headed LS1! lol
aluminum FRPP block. still 4.6 based, same stroke n all. its just a big bore (3.70 instead of the 3.55 on the current 4.6/5.4)
the big bore makes lots more power obviously because of the CI increase, but most importantly it de-shrouds the valves. similar effect to a TFTW head.
did im mention im on its nuts? lol
my next mod motor will be a stock stroke, big bore, long rod.
