Just a couple hours ago on Mission blvd I heard a bang from the rear end and tried to brake and the brakes were out, so I rode the curb on the turn lane until it stopped. My wheel/axle completely came off and damagedmyrear fender, the housing broke before the drum. I was pissed but glad it didnt happen doing 65+ i was only going like 15 when it happened. we jacked up the rear to put the wheel/axle in to load it into the flatbed but it wouldnt stay in as you can see in the pic. Has anyone heard of this happening before? I dont want to use another stock rear housing and have it do the same

I need an 8 inch, or I might upgrade to a 9 inch cause I think I messed up the 4.10's it had in it

I might have an 8 inch soon for sale but i think you should upgrade it to a 9 inch. All classic Mustangs should have one i think

u can run an 8in in alot of sbf mustangs unless you run slick alot you can beef up an 8in to handle alot of power. plus it takes away a little more power when you run a 9in. maybe i'll feel diferent when I blow up my 8in

Nice car
Parts for the 8" rears are hard to find unless things have changed since I owned my '66. I would upgrade to an 9".
