My car is a really mild/reliable setup with an AOD. Crane cam, Edelbrock heads, Trick Flow intake and all the bolt ons.
So I put down 271 at the wheels, and the day he just got his stock 04 GT0 he dynoed it and put down 315. NICE NUMBERS "BONE STOCK."
We lined up, I stalled up a bit and we took off. The Griggs stuff REALLY HELPED because I floored it, it chirped, and HOOKED. I yanked 4 cars out of the hole expecting him to pull me on the top end. We took it all the way till I was at 6k in 3rd which is just at the quarter mile. Afterward I asked if he was pulling on me and he said no but he wasn't falling back either.
It's nice to run people who aren't dicks afterward

Good kill! Ford horsepower is alway's more potent than pontiac horsepower. For AOD powered stang's that don't get the respect they deserve. [ March 26, 2006, 10:05 PM: Message edited by: SmokinLX ]

I didn't exactly put this up as a kill story. We're friends, he put down some damn nice numbers stock, and I was proud of my AOD car
I think his car outweighs my full weight convertable even

More than likely. But it's always cool when the smaller motor wins! Bet you could beat my lightweight notch...

I think you are right... they have to put a higer output motor in the car, its supposed to weigh in pretty heavy at the scales... like the new mustangs... 300hp, sure.. but at what price?
