Has anyone had trouble installing the brake pads on their kit. I have the 4 piston kit (I'll get the part # later) and the brake pads do not go in. I am sanding them down now, but wtf?? ssbc is no help what so ever and making it seem like its installer error... I have the caliper completely compressed and I've even left the bleeder screw open when trying to get the pads on and they still don't fit. I guess ill resurface the rotors next but this is just ridiculous.. this isn't my first rodeo but any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Are they coated calipers? Removing paint from the mounting areas should help

You must have something off with the mounting of the caliper.
Can you get a pad in on one side but not the other?
Did you measure the gap between the pads when they are installed in the caliper with the caliper off the car? Compare that to the thickness of the rotor?

Neither side would fit, and the caliper is completely compressed. My friend had the same problem and he sanded his pads down too. There is definitely a problem, but who knows if they will correct it.

Can you take some pics so we can have a better idea of WTF is going on. I'm wondering if they gave you the wrong thickness pads in the kit.

Arent ssbc calipers 2 piece?
Prob missing the correct spacer inbetween the two pieces to allow enough room for the pads/rotor thickness
