I wonder when the military will actually start using them.
300 rounds a minute!
I watched Future Weapons last night and they had a gatling gun that shot 3,000 rounds a minute. it was sik.

Just more dangerous and powerful guns to get into the wrong hands. But pretty cool nonetheless. [ December 21, 2007, 09:37 PM: Message edited by: essasin ]

Nice gun, very impressive, but 300 rounds per minute is fine if you can carry that much ammo weight. A couple of 20 or 32 round clips strapped to your belt would be a pain to deal with. IMO, too bulky for the military, but perfect for a SWAT team.
And lethal to 200 yds? Not even... Unless there is a rifled slug involved. I've been peppered with lead shot multiple times while duck hunting at about 100 yds without it even leaving a mark.

i don't know the weight difference between 5.56 rounds and shotgun rounds but i know my brother is required to carry 300 rounds for his M16 in Afghanistan.

3,000 rounds per minutes really is nothing especially for a 7.62mmX51 NATO round.
Impressive is the GAU-8 Avenger on the A-10 Thunderbolt II's. They pump out up to 6,000 rounds per minute of 30mm depleated uranium rounds. Most multi-barrel cannons have a control feature to adjust the rate's of fire. Generally they vary from 2,000 rpm to 6,000 rpm.
That auto 12 gauge was pretty sick. It'd be one heavy motherfucker though if you carried more than a couple of drums around with you. 00 buckshot is not exactly a lightweight round.

More like you won't find anywhere for retail civilian sale.
If you listen to it's creator & the host of the show the weapon it is intended for military applications.
It's a CQB weapon pretty much only. Special operations units would more than likely be the only groups using such a weapon.
