Im thinking about picking up a 93 cobra off one of my buddies and he keeps telling me to make him an offer but don't really know what the car is worth. Its a Black 93 cobra. Body is super straight paint is slightly faded (stock paint). Interior is grey leather and immaculate condition. Engine and tranny are stock. Has 3:73 gears and aluminum driveshaft. Clean title however it dose have 160k on it. How much would it be worth in the condition its in? [ April 08, 2010, 03:27 AM: Message edited by: 87coupe510 ]

most people selling cars that tell you "make me an offer" dont know them selves how much the car is worth...so they make you offer money you might say 6k and he was thinking 4k....tell him if he is serious to tell you how much he wants and go from there....
buying 101 let the seller name the price...

When I was in the market for a 93 cobra, I kept seeing prices from 8k-12k depending on condition and location.
You might want to ask him what kind of ball park figure he was looking to get and go form there.

Start at 5 or 6 if its clean. The high mileage robs it of its investor value and unless there's receipts to see what has been done to it, you might have major problems with the car in general too.

What kind of major problems? Nothing out of the ordinary for a 5.0 right? It looks low milage its super clean and it runs perfect.
