My dad has a 1979 and he just needs some basic stuff like shocks and struts and maybe some other stuff. Where should I send him or look? Online searching has not been yielding a lot.

have you tried kragen or autozone?...even if they have to order them it should only take a day, if not summit racing always worth a shot. they have kyb stock replacements for damn near anything.......and if you live anywhere from sac to damn near frisco you can order it by 5pm one day and it WILL be on your doorstep by 5pm the next day! other wise you might have to hit a bmw dealer but good luck not getting raped on price!!

Try FPS foreign parts specialists. I used to get all my porsche parts from them. They pretty pricey though. 300$ for alternator 350$ for a radiator... Etc..etc...
