Depends what kind of fish...You could try Folsom, american river, sac river. Its steelhead time if you want to do some REAL fishing. Salmon from the banks was pretty bunk this year, but you could still pull some in I bet in the right spot. I know they were stacking up still in some holes down there in the sac area. Last time i was out on the feather they were still rollin. What kinda fish you fish for?
I just got back from clearlake and my buddies were just killin the catfish out there. Only real good fishing Ive seen all year

If you want to just kick it, take a drive up to Ellis Lake in Marysville. Take some sweet corn, like 10 cans and chum that shit all over where you are going to fish. Freeline a hook with some corn on it, cast it out, pull up a chair and some sandwiches, chill for a bit and HANG ON!
There are a shitload of Carp there, and if you don't care what kind of fish you catch, they give you a hell of a fight.

Under the hazel ave bridge up to the damn will hold all kinds of fish up there. If you got a pickup you can drive right up to the water. Colins lake about 1/2 hour northeast of marysville probably has the best trout fishing in the area, they stock it with fat ass trout. You have to pay to get in there though. Folsom lake is suposed to have good trout fishing but I have not fished there for years.

If you want some real fishing, get out of California. My vote would be in either Texas or South Florida for any kind of saltwater species. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!! But if you must stay in CA, I've heard the American River holds some good fish near Hazel Ave.

Yes,and a delta bay enhancment stamp. As far as i know the only place you can fish without a lisence is in ocean bays off of docks. If you buy a 1 day you don't need any enhancments. I wouldn't pay the money for a year lisence as it will only be good till dec. 31 06.

Driving through traffic is not quality time, dont go to the american. Grab you some sardins drive down Elkhorn to hwy/99 Head north exit Riego rd. (left) Drive till you hit the river (garden hwy) make a right. Fish anyone of the 1000 fishing holes to the left. Red worms will get you a few steelies this time of year, sardins will keep you busy with bires.
