Maaco is the way to go to freshen up that ratty old fox.
I know Luke87 wouldnt take his ferarri there but it sure beats rolling around in primer or with oxy'd up paint and clear coat peeling off.
Just dont go touting that it is "clean" or the CAFORDS police will arrest you....

PR autobody in Burlingame. Expensive but great quality.
My neightbors 04 Mystichrome got the hood keyed up by some POS and PR did the work and its looks factory still, cant even tell the hoos was resprayed.
Then again, Maaco would be the way to go if you're on a budget, as long as it looks decent, not primered, or peeling, etc.

LOL, you know, to me it's simple.
You want OEM quality, you do not go to Maaco. You want to improve the look of your tired 15+ year old paint and don't want to spend a lot of dough, Maaco is the place!

I had my 92 Ford crew cab sprayed at Earl Sheib in Redwood City a few months ago. I think they did a solid job for the money. Regardless of where you go, get the quote, make sure they have your phone number and wait. I waited three days and the price for the top job went from $1300 to $800. If they are slow, they'll drop the price.
They only quoted about $200 bucks for some body work that I thought was going to be way more.

It just comes down to what your expectations are. Maaco will give you a fresh paint job for a relatively small fee.
By most standards, it will be a big improvement over a tired paint job and many people will be happy with this.
If you want to go above that, I recommend going to a higher end shop however.
People have different standards. To me, if it isn't OEM off the showroom floor quality or better, I don't proceed with paint work.
Crocket Auto Body is very good at what they do, but they are certainly not cheap.
Hey Luke where is Crocket auto body located? Sounds familiar...

Maaco did the passenger fender and bumper on my 90, but the paint is starting to peel off. Miracle did my entire 67 for $800, they did a way better job than Maaco.

A lot of their paint jobs don't have clear coat so they fade quickly. My dad did one on his old Bronco and it looked like it was done with chalk a few years later but clear coat would make it shine for a long time.

The one on Brokaw in San Jo, but I hear they moved to Monterey Hwy.
Single stage urethane acrylic, holds up well, easy to maintain, and it's lasted 3 years so far.
