I see that stuff all the time when I am out riding. Yes it is illegal to pass on a double yellow (then again I have done it several times myself to avoid a cager for panic braking in front of me when he/she got a phone call on their cellular ![[Roll Eyes]](rolleyes.gif) ). Still that is attempted murder..plain and simple. It does not matter what part of the road the bikers were in...he intentionally tried to kill them.
Kind of reminds of the time I was sharing lanes going about 3mph in stopped traffic as 92 was completely backed up and this old fogey decided he would prevent me from passing him by opening his driver's door right as I passed him (took out my mirror...actually took out his mirror as well..idiot thought he owned the road ).

I like how he says a bug bit him but if a bug did hit him how the hell could he pull off such a sweetly controlled maneuver that had him dip into the other lane and back into his lane so smoothly?
