Damn, sorry to hear about that man. Happens to the best of us tho. If you were closer I wouldnt have minded dropping u off that drum piece. Should've just opted for that $75 brake service you mentioned. Just gotta chalk it up and forget about it

The part used is a freebee at the junkyards. ....At the parts store its probably bout 20-25....its not difficult to install it. You can do it yourself.
***The part is called an equalizer bar. When you apply the park brake it equally applies pressure mechanically pushing both shoes against the drum to hold the vehicle or at best emergency stop the vehicle. ***
