Yes, router upgrades did not go as smoothly as planned. Several corrupted accounts were restored, but two accounts were corrupted beyond repair and had to bel deleted. Both were in the uper 6,000 member number range. Several posts were lost, including our annual car show post in the events section ![[Frown]](frown.gif) The posts lost in tech talk still have some chance of being recovered.
As other people stated, accounts never get deleted here. The only reason posting rights are removed is reserved for people that try to sabotage the community like Hot85Fifty has publicly with his flagrant attacks, but covert methods of sabatoge are just as bad, if not worse. Fortunately {or unfortunately} our trolls are damn near always repeat offenders that have been trying to sabatoge the cafords community for a long time, sometimes for many years ![[Eek!]](eek.gif) There seems to be a lot of confusion and TONS of rumors running around about cafords. Those that come to our events and have ever actually spoken to the moderators know we're very laid back and positive people that try to help people out. Deleting accounts or banning people "for no reason" is just rediculous but every prisoner will proclaim their innocence to a lending ear. Most people know they can email feedback@cafords.com to clearify any rumors they may have heard.
The problem with posts like this is the moderators/webmasters only have a limited number of hours a day to donate to fixing cafords. Spending that limited hours cleaning up after trolls like Hot85Fifty takes away time from restoring lost accounts, replacing broken posts and even stuff like putting up our new t-shirts for sale at www.cafords.com/store We had hoped to put them for sale this week, but server problems have delayed this
We're glad to see so many members as usual stick up for their forum against these trolls that just suck away time and resources from the board.

two-gun kid, I don't recall the situation, but I know due to the large turnout we were very understaffed. Maybe I had to take care of some administrative tasks?
We don't have to worry about hot85fifty anymore. After making 4-5 fake accounts here we had an email chat that went like this

That's when he got the IP boot.
Only reason for posting this is to show how a ban goes down. Someone flies off the handle and starts badmouthing us. We ask him to leave. He comes back with a bunch of fake accounts until we block him from even viewing the site. Now if you ask him, I'm sure he'll tell you "what fake accounts" and claim he's innocent. Dishonest people do this if they think they can get away with the crime and no one knows their dirty secrets. A true test of someone's charactor.
Due to drama and language that is unreflective of the cafords community, this post is being moved to streetracing where it may die in peace.
