So ive got a 98 cobra and it failed smog because the HC was too high, it has new o2 sensors, new oil, new plugs, what should be changed, the car sat for almost 2 years, thanks for the help in advance

Did you drive it atleast a tank before getting it smogged?

Ya ive been driving it the last 10 days but when i went to smog it was cold and i went straight to the smog shop, maybe 2 minutes of driving

I also have a code come on randomly, p1443, for evap, but the code wasnt on so i figured i'd try and smog it

Drive it for atleast 15 minutes, put some high octane gas(some race gas will gurantee good numbers), and go straight to smog.. and dont turn off the car over there, let it run so it stays warmed up.. I did that the last 2 times I had 2 smog a stang..

Thats why it failed, you need to drive it a good distance before smogging.

I don't know about you, but it takes a good 10-15 minutes for my car to even warm up properly. 2 minutes, that thing was still cold as the rockies.
