That is all...it just seems like im not qualified for anything decent, and all these jobs that are available, I have no interest in, so i know I'd do shitty. maybe I've got the wrong mindset? Any advice?
I've been in the automotive field before, but its kinda a cut throat industry from my experience..

Apply for dealerships. Very easy job to get and good 40 hour work weeks.

Yeah the job market is harsh. Tons of overqualified people are out there making competition fierce... Really hard these days to have a stand-out resume... best jobs I've seen people get lately are through hook-ups from friends and family.

Change up game, get into some sort of apprenticeship, when I applied for elevators,hvac,electricans,etc. They were all juiced that I had previous mechanical experience.also look into a city or pg&e fleet mechanic position as well. If someone isn't hiring send your resume and a good cover letter, I have gotten job offers based on that. For ex: a company would be thinking of getting rid of someone etc. And I just happen to apply.
