Topic: how many rwhp do you think a fox would need to beat a 2011 z06

Just curious and if anyone has videos post them this goes for freeway and 1/4 miles my guess is about 400rwhp with some 355s for all around racing just incase u have a hwy pull with em

They have nasty top end pull and aero dynamic. I bet you need more than that since there is some guy who ran low 10s in a stock one.

Damn I didn't know than ran 10s stock I thought it was 11.6 but that might have been a different year yea I Change my mind to 500rwhp lol and some good ass all around suspension buy jot sure wat kind would be need since I don't know too much about suspension

they run 11.6 with traction proplems so with some slicks im sure its a 10 sec car

My mustang had 540RWHP and I had hard time keeping up with 2008 models. Its not about HP its about how that car drives. The Z06 just grabs and goes, and you don't want to miss with it over 100 MPH

Yea i don't care id racing anything but ima fa damn show b on my shit wit them but like dude said they are some damn bullies over 100mph it would be nice to have a stang set up to punk them at them speeds but what would the set up be a 6speed tranny off top

Assuming a typical weight fox, you would need about 450rwhp to be in the ballpark of running with one...
How much beyond that is a question of how much you want to spank a Vette, lol.

You would need way more than 450 RWHP, the z06 put's down 450+ rwhp stock,
Not to mention a fox's old ass suspension and what kind of tires will you be putting on to handle 500RWHP?
Have you ever seen a c5+ corvette smash through the gears? The front end has barely any lift they just straight up go.

The fox will not have the top end of a Z06 at high miles.
Here at my shop we build mustangs and vette's.
i'd say it's 60/40 with vette's in the lead.
These cars simply out perform a mustang in all aspects, but it's supposed to.
2 different classes of car.
Think of what you would have in a 60k foxbody.....and i've had foxes here with that much into them. 1/4mile beast??? yes, top speed car, not so much lol

Oh your cobra now has a .82 5th instead of the stock .64. So now it hauls ass to 150 then out of rpm but gets there fast! Huge difference still have not had the chance to run a z06 yet.

trap speed is going to determine who wins on the street. i usually see 450rwhp foxes trap around 120-125, which is the same as c6z06.
i mean the z06 is prolly a little heavier than your usual fox and it also puts down round 450rhwp. i dont see why a fox wouldnt be able to keep up with the same rwhp and weight. and im not saying its gonna beat it but it shouldnt be a "no contest" like some pple are saying.
