keith black makes awesome race motors from my understanding. But i think all of their pistons, or at least the ones ive seen are hyperU's. Federal Mog i hear makes decent stuff.

nope replaceing it because everything on the inside of the engine is rusted and everytime i replace a freeze plug another one goes out. the engine has over 160k on it and copression is from 115-125.. its a little worn i would think... everything is up in the air right now and im trying to figure out what is the best thing to do.

Federal Mogul makes decent stuff I think there pistons are like the Speedpro or TRW's. Keith black also makes a forged piston line now.. [ August 18, 2008, 08:32 AM: Message edited by: 2stangs69-91 ]

sonally I would just save up and buy a sfroker off someone on here. So far I have sold three the first 331 longblock 4 2100 I gave it away the next 347 longblock for 2300 and the last new 347 shortblock I just sold for 1575. Something to think about. I have another 331 built by DSS but it won't be for sale for at least another three weeks because I got to finish and start testing my yellow monster. This last motor I have has low miles I got the build invoice and all but it all on what u want to spend. Good luck with your car I find mine to drink my money all the time that's why I choose to work on it slow so I dont go broke

You are very right you get what you pay for. But I was just throwing it there for you motor is running still in my car and I have the invoice from DSS. The guy spent 3500 on the shortblock alone.
