i've taken my 870 up to the chabot gun range.. badass gun for sure. they're pretty strict up there though, but will no doubt let you shoot the shotgun.

Is it this one? They say "no shotguns" in the middle of the page.

Chabot Shooting Range in the Oakland Hills on Redwood Rd. Buckshot/birdshot on the patterning board and slugs on the rifle range, plus trap/skeet. http://www.chabotgunclub.com/
Also Los Altos Gun and Rod allows Slugs on the rifle range, Birdshot on the pattern board, and Slugs+Buckshot+Birdshot on the TIN CAN RANGE. Trap too. http://www.losaltosrodandgunclub.com/
I need to go too... Just picked this up yesterday.. [ April 27, 2008, 12:57 PM: Message edited by: BlackDrop50 ]

Nice! Try United Sportsmen Inc in Concord (925)676-1963, off Highway 4. We use to fire shot guns there. It's an outdoor range. Never crowded so it's cool.

Try Reed's sporting goods in San Jose. The sales clerks are jerks but they have tons of selections.
