Ditto on thr vet bills. Fork over the $50 a month for the vet health insurance, you'll thank yourself down the road. Don't let them jump off beds or couches or they'll have spine issues where you can't even grab them because of the pain and they'll require steroids etc.

www.yorkiepup.com

Picked one up in May was about 1,200 with flight first shots and chipped. Teacup size was 1.8lbs now 2.6lbs and will stay there.

Very good costumer service Jeff the owner still doing follow up emails making sure the pup is healthy.

1. Dogs are total chick magnets
2. Only annoying if you can't train your dog properly.
3. Don't have many health problems but grooming is a must which can range from 40-60$ a month.

My yorkie grew up around my pitbull and neither of them bark when dogs pass by nor do they bark at any dogs when they're on walks. Keep your dogs in check and they'll be fine.

DO NOT BUY YOUR KID A DOG! They will be bored of that shit in 2 days especially the puppy stage. Get her a chia pet or a tomagotchi. You better become a dog person because you will be taking care of it or taking to a new home.

I agree, but OP how old is your daughter? Will she understand the responsibilities? Otherwise it will definitely turn out to be your dog.

Definitely this!!

My wife wanted a German Shepherd and I fought it for quite a while. Finally gave in 5 years ago, now I'm the one taking the walks, picking up the sh** and doing the training....not to mention the boarding when we leave town for the week. Have to budget and extra $200-$300 for boarding. [Frown]

Don't get me wrong, the dog is really cool and is my best bud but....

Finally someone who makes sense in this mutherfucker.

Poor dog deserves someone who will be a responsible dog owner for their entire life, not some kids entertainment.

I agree with above.

If I could post a vid I made the 12 year old do research on yorkie and frenchie then present it in an informative video. She did a fantastic job outlining the pros and cons of each finally convincing she was mature enough for a pet.

I agree if my daughter was 8,9 or 10 there would be no way I would get her a pet animal. She is very aware of the problem she's getting into with this kind of dog
