It all depends on condition of the car and parts and how much you want to let it go for, cheaper prices it will go quicker, sometimes I wait 2 years to sell something, if that 393 is a standard bore setup then it will be harder to sell

I have the Harley in pieces but selling the parts is hard.I have been looking on Ebay for another frame. The last one I saw sold for $4500. I luckily didn't take the bike to CHP or DMV or else I would've been arrested.I can buy a Pughco frame for $1500 but DMV will not register it as a harley. It will be in the same category as a chopper and will not have value like a harley.

DAAAMN. Are you going after the seller for your $$$ back? That same scenario just happened to my son in law. Bought a frame from a company off of Ebay, built the Harley over a 6 month period, took it to register and DMV told him he has to go to CHP because the VIN wasn't registering the same type of frame/make as the title. CHP kept the frame and gave him all other parts back. Fortunately he had receipts for everything. No arrest, just confiscation. He was out $1200 for the frame. He is currently working to get his $$$ back with the company he bought it from. Not sure of the status.
Good luck with the sale of the car/parts. [ 2014-09-24, 11:16 AM: Message edited by: Marks93 ]

I dont know who the person that sold me the bike really is. It was a craigslist seller . The pink slip has a name and adress but no one by that name has lived there. One of my friends that rides said theres a motorcycle crew in the bay area famous for doing these scams. I should've paid with a cashiers check and not cash. Live and Learn I guess.
