Hmm.... gives me a idea. I would need this for a hatch. I'm gonna try and do that outline style with my set up. Just want it flush since I have no seats atm.

I'm hoping to get this done over the winter. I made a pattern out of cardboard already, just need to get materials now. It'll be similar to this

I'll try and grab some pictures later but it'll be 3 pieces total with 1 for the back and 2 for the front (1 of them is the upright piece). It should all fit on 1 4x8 piece of mdf board.

Yeah, agree. The one for the coupe from stangmods weighs in at 35 lbs! Hell, I don't think the stock seat and back weight is that much. My DIY weighs 3 lbs.

I remember your coupe from the MM&FF issue.... [patriot] I have since lost that issue, what is your rear seat delete solution?

I found a large sheet of stiff but also flexible plastic (some place in San Leandro) and covered it with grey trunk carpet material. It's way too flexible to lay anything heavy on it though. Wanted light weight, not storage or speaker mount.

That's what I used. Easy to cut to shape by scoring with a razor knife and snapping piece off. I used rubber cement to attach felt carpet to plastic sheet. Easy to put shallow hard bend using straight edge and forcing plastic to bend over edge. Bend stays in plastic.
