I know this is a mustang site, but does anyone on this site have a 2003 Superduty or Excursion with the 6.0 L turbo diesel? I have a 2005 F350 and I am looking for the turbo off the 2003. It whistles louder than any other year, and I am straight piped and I want more whistle.

Those turbos are junk tho. Ain't gonna find one here either. Try Powerstroke.org or Powerstrokenation.com

I have a 2003 F350 7.3L I heard if you take the aluminum foil wrap off the pipes that go to your intercooler you will be able to hear the blow off easier and the turbo whine more, atleast for my truck that happens. i guess the foil is a sound deadener not a heat shield. I love rolling down my windows and hearing my turbo whine even at idle, i haven't done the foil delete yet though. I am running straight pipes

my 6.0 is straight piped, but the turbo on the 03 6.0 has 10 blades and all other 6.0 have 13 blades

The 6.0 didnt come with a blow off. The wasted boost just dumps back into the intake and makes a turbo fart noise

Do you have a intake or open filter? My buddy put one on his 7.3 excursion and you can here the wastegate alot in the cab, I can get a vid of it if you wanna hear it

Different vanes on 03. What I run in my truck. Just makes noise and vgt pitches are different but about the same boost........

I heard an 7.3 Excursion last night, sounds just like mine. Love that sound of the turbo whining through the exhaust.
