All done, except needs coolant and to bleed the clutch! Then i can break it in with the break in oil for 20 minutes and then she'll be ready for a tune!

Shit looks sick!! That cam wont require a 20min break in, take that thing for a ride and put a load on it to set the rings!!

Its a full motor break in, not for just the cam.

Exactly, the most important time to set the rings is the first 20miles or so. Get it running, let it come up to operating temperature, and then take it out and start low in the rpm band in 2nd gear and stab it. Take it up in the RPM band close to red line then let off and let it slow down. Repeat this several times in 2nd, 3rd, 4th whatever you want but just put a load on the motor. This is what all race motors essentially do on the dyno. They dont baby it for 500 miles etc.. They let her rip, with a load on it. This si how I have broken in every motor I have ever had built, and it has done me well.

I had my motor built by Dan also. I broke it in by getting on the race track and beating the snot out of it for twenty minutes. Never had a problem.

The rings and bore finish used in that motor seated when I degreed the cam.......rings have come a long long long way.
Let the oil get a couple heat cycles in it and hang on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dana, serious question. Why not loom a custom set of wires on there? The wires you have on there look sloppy/universal. One of the best things I ever did appearance wise was have a custom set loomed. Its an in expensive venture if interested and would HIGHLY compliment your underhood and provide great spark.
