So i'm getting a prety good deal on a set of stock mufflers off a 2001 saleen.. I know they come with stock Borla Exhaust.. My friend has Borlas meant for a 99-04 on his 88, and it sounds real mean.. I am looking for a similar sound.. I was wondering what your opinions are on using the stock saleen mufflers on my fox??

Are you buying just the mufflers? Or the whole cat back with tailpipes?

Run them. Nothing too special about the mufflers from the Saleen/Borla cat back... they're basically off-the-shelf Borla oval case mufflers. What made the Saleen/Borla cat back special was the custom hangers and tailpipes designed to fit and clear the Saleen rear fascia.
Smaller casing makes the Borla mufflers louder than Magnaflow oval case mufflers, but quieter than Borla S Type "Stingers" or Magnapacks. They also have a straighter flow path because they are center in/center out, where as the Mustang-spec'd Magnaflow mufflers are usually offset in/offset out [ October 26, 2012, 04:13 PM: Message edited by: 04 S281 ]
