How do you deal with them. I have one that has built an enormous patio cover right against the fence line. (which is in complete violation of the building codes in my county). It is just plain hidious. Next his kids on labor day weekend tossed peanut shells over the fence on to my daughters swing set. When my wife confronted the wife, she said she is sorry they had friends over the night before. (Like that was to make it alright) Then this morning, the husband at 6:30, decides he needs to start cutting lumber for one of his projects. The sherriff dept said that as long as he is operating after the sun rises there is nothing that can be done. I am getting to the point that this will be my last house I ever buy in a sub-division.
How would you handle this. (with in the confines of the law)

they said sorry about peanut shells let it go. everything else is within the law. subdivisons is still like living in apartments. gotta deal with close neighbors. sorry ?

funny i was just talking to my co-worker about this movie.
I think i am going to plant some super tall trees in the corner of my yard to block the view of his obnoxious patio cover. And as far as the noise, I guess the best bet would to be to try and talk to him.

All these are good suggestions, although i have 2 dogs that could provide the crap. Moving not an option, even though I thought I bought at the right time, the housing market is still kind of stagnent where I am. yes, they are really not that bad issues, I guess I was just venting. Its not a daily occurance and if it does, definitely a talk with the guy is going to happen. No homeowners association to go to either.

You could always gather a 10 or 20 of the rats running around the SF bart stations, and "relocate them for a better tomorrow" to this guy's house- after you throw a couple 10 pound jars of peanut butter under his deck!
