I prefer the sound of analog tape over compressed digital music of today. That's a very advanced tape deck for its time. For most it would have been overkill...... But during that time period that would have been sought after by snobbish musical nazis like myself LOL.

i agree. magnetic tape (cassettes and vinyl) give music a more "organic" feel.
