Has anybody here been to this lake? Where is a good spot to camp near the lake/bathrooms/showers/etc that has bbq pits and shade, etc...basically a primo campsite. The website has a cartoon map that doesnt really show how good a campsite is...

We used to go there years ago and it was nice. Went there. Couple of years ago and hated it. There not that many spots with trees. I will most likely not go there anymore. Heard nothing but good things about lake don Pedro. I would deff look into that one.

Haha, I wouldn't really consider it a lake. Plane & simple, prob 1 of the worst "lakes" around. Sorry just being honest. Especially when the water level gets low, there are under water trees sticking out everywhere

I go to Woodward Reservoir in Oakdale when I want to use my jet-ski's or boats, it's pretty dry but it's pretty big, good spot for boats and jetski's.

Its a nice lake.. really depends on what campsite youre at. Due to the lack of rain, water levels are down so the "lakeside" campsites aren't really next to the lake. Showers, I'm not really sure how nice they are. But I was only there for 22 hours since me and my friends got kicked out so thats the only info I have lol
Don Pedro is a really nice place to camp and I just got back from New Hogan Lake and I love that place.. really nice place to camp, the lake is awsome and not too crowded. If I had to pick between the 3.. I'd say New Hogan is the place to go.

Damn Nick, if you like those lakes you will shit yourself if you ever make it up to Lake Shasta. Hands down best lake in Cali. It makes all these little places look like mud puddles. I just got back from Shasta I was there for 7 days. Water was only 25ft from the tree line.

You need a down rigger.
Shasta and Oroville are the best lakes in Norcal. I just went to Oroville last weekend. It's a lot closer than Shasta, less crowded and similar weather and water temp, and the fishing is better.

I have family in Gridley and use to spent a lot of time fishing on the feather river. They have some big sturgeon out there.

I know it's on the Delta. It's off of highway 12. It's about 5 miles from I-5.
