Topic: Need help on my fox ASAP

I having this little issue my clutch cable keeps on burning/melting, not sure if its from my headers or? Im on my 3rd one, I was driving the car before good so I doubt its my header. Any help and suggestions would help guy. Thanks! ![[patriot]](graemlins/patriot.gif)

I had a similar issue in the past, I ordered a maximum motorsports clutch cable and never had another issue.

Or you can put that foil looking instalation around it.an zip tie it to the wall of ur engine bay or something away frm ur headers.thats the only thing that can make that happens thats really the only thing that gets hot hot in that area.

Thats what one of my boys told me to try..is it like heat resistance tape or something like that? Similar to header wrap?

It should be the headers had the same problem on my lx with long tubes put some of that tape 91blackonblack said where it was making contact never had a problem again

pretty common issues when people put headers on these cars. Order a 94-95 cable from pro motion, they are longer cables and will allow you to route it further from the header.
